Door Panels

The Neon Digital Panel with illuminated keypad is available in both numeric (3×4 matrix as shown) and alpha-numeric style (4×4 matrix with letters A-D). The keypad unit features: –

• All metal construction – Zamak 5 with chrome finish
• Front Protection – protected to IP67 as per IEC 60529
• Climate Resistance – meets EN IEC 60512-6 criteria
• Electrical Life – 4 million cycles of operation per key
• Location “pip” on 5 key for DDA requirement
• Yellow key illumination for DDA requirement

Further features provide ultimate ease of use for sight-impaired users: –

• Unique “DDA Auto-Call” facility can be enabled via installer-programming so that once a valid number has been entered the user does not have to press the Call Button to initiate the ring cycle – this happens automatically
• Any Key Cancel – when DDA Auto-Call is activated the call can be cancelled by pressing ANY button on the panel NOT JUST THE CANCEL button – this provides even easier use for sight-impaired/blind users as they do not have to find the “Cancel” key to stop the call.
• High visibility LED display provides information on when the flat is being called, when call is answered, when door is unlocked, when phone is switched off, and many other messages to assist in user operation.

Digital panels (all styles) also feature: –

• Up to 3 coded access numbers that can be used 24 hours a day
• Up to 3 coded access numbers that can be used at specific times of the day – as set by the trades time-clock
• If no trades code is set then pressing the trades button (0) will unlock the door during times set by the trades time-clock

Alternatively, Neon can supply digital panels (both numeric and alpha-numeric) with 20mm round stainless steel buttons (as shown) or pressure sensitive (piezo) buttons. This door panel has the same coded access features, DDA auto-call facility and high visibility display as the illuminated keypad panel. The high quality mechanical buttons are: –

• Protected to IP67 as per IEC 60529
• Manufactured from 316 Marine Grade stainless steel
• Feature a replaceable micro switch element
• Electrical Life >1.5 million operations (160mA @ 48VDC)
• Optional “Halo” illumination

The optional Pressure Sensitive (piezo) Buttons are: –

• Protected to IP69K as per DIN 40050-9: 1993
• Actuating Force 1 to 3 Newton (depending on ambient temperature)
• Electrical Life of 20 million operations

The Neon functional panel can be supplied in sizes up to 15 flats plus a “trades” button. For full call progress information and user reassurance, the panel is supplied with a 4 digit, high-visibility, Blue L.E.D. display as standard.

The panel features 20mm stainless steel mechanical buttons with replaceable micro-switch (see full spec under Dig. Panel with 20mm buttons), alternatively the panel can be supplied with pressure sensitive buttons if required.

This panel type is a Neon innovation that takes away the “bespoke” nature of functional panels for the first time in this market place. It has been installed in over 100 properties for many different customers and is proving to be our customers  panel of choice for blocks with up to 8 flats.

The installer programs the panel during installation with up to 15 flat numbers using the free GUI Software.

Installers and end users benefit as this panel is always available for immediate delivery, no waiting for specific flat numbers to be engraved onto the panel or buttons. As with all our panels using 20mm round buttons you have the choice of standard or Pressure Sensitive buttons.

• Coverplates – we manufacture two standard sizes coverplates that make it easy to fit our panels in place of old, larger panels. We can also make “custom” sizes coverplates to order if required. Coverplates are made from 316 marine grade stainless in sizes 520mm x 260mm (BB1/CP1) and 580mm x 320mm (BB1/CP2)
• Surface Housings – if you require a surface mounted panel instead of the standard flush-mount we manufacture surface housings in 316 marine grade stainless to enable this.
