Commissioning & Testing

The quality of a door entry system is determined not only by the products you choose but by how professionally those products are commissioned.
To ensure optimum performance and long-term reliability, Neon provides two specialist site services, each carried out by our nominated experienced commissioning engineers and certified by Neon on completion.

Our CPT service is the most comprehensive option for a fault-free handover. A Neon Commissioning Engineer terminates every communal system cable (excludes handset connections within individual flats), ensuring that all cores are connected correctly, neatly labelled and documented in accordance with the ‘as-built’ scheme. Once the system is fully connected, the engineer programs all panels, handsets and control units to the agreed specification, conducts a full functional test in the presence of the installer, and issues a Neon CPT certificate. This all-inclusive service provides complete peace of mind and eliminates the need for return visits.

Where installers prefer to handle the cable termination themselves, our PT package offers a streamlined alternative. A Neon engineer attends site once the wiring is in place, programs the system, and then performs a full functional test of every call path and door release. We supply a report detailing the flats tested and any defects or wiring errors for rectification by the installer. Following resolution of these items, we issue a Neon PT certificate confirming the system has been commissioned to specification.

Every Neon commissioning package includes:

  • Qualified engineers – You’ll work with a specialist who understands the system design and will ensure compliance with our installation standards.
  • Detailed documentation – All testing results, distribution node addressing and cable schedules are recorded and provided for your files.
  • Free programming tools – Our GUI setup software comes with tick sheets, wiring maps and customisable forms to make on-site programming and testing straightforward for the installer. Each form can be branded with your company logo.
