The Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) have saved £1000’s by choosing Neon equipment to upgrade 2 video door entry systems in Belfast. Local installer “Delta Comms (Belfast)” carried out the upgrade with technical help and advice from Neon experts. The original door entry panels and controls were failing and as the original manufacturer was no longer trading replacement parts were becoming very difficult to obtain. Neon confirmed to Delta that the existing video door entry handsets could be retained and along with the new Neon door panels and controls a detailed wiring connection list was provided. This enabled Delta to replace the panels and controls in both blocks and get the new systems up and running without having to access any flats. All existing cabling was retained. Each of the 56 way 14 storey blocks was completed within a week during September 2013. We estimate that by re-using all the video phones the saving in equipment cost alone was in the region of £19,000.00 + VAT
